| The Volcano
In the centre of the island the ground rises sharply into a single mountain, taller than the eye can see. Legend has it that great torrents of flame and smoke once spewed forth from it’s summit, but now there is not a horse alive who can remember such events, and the truth about the strange peak is largely forgotten, only remembered when a strange rumbling issues forth from the very ground itself.
Nowadays this focal point of the island is used as a meeting place by the horses that live there, and is where the young and the homeless come when they are looking for someone to take them in. Horses may find mates or new herd members in these lands.

| Twins Clearing
It is said that two twin brothers once fought and died in this clearing over a petty dispute. The treeless, empty place has remained uninhabited ever since and is now the traditional place for horses to come to settle their disputes with bloodshed. Trial by combat; it’s not big and it’s not clever but it certainly gets results.

| Treachery Copse
A small area of dense greenery makes the perfect secret meeting point for thieves and villains. The place is so named because it is where stallions come to secret away a mare from beneath a rival’s nose, or where jealous mares may steal foals away from their mother’s flank. In this land, nothing is sacred.

| Territories |
| Westcliff
South of West Beach the land rises up sharply into a rocky cliff face. Altitudes are high and the trickle of water that runs as an almost permanent waterfall down to the shore below can make the going treacherous. Leathery ferns dominate the rocky slopes, though there is just enough vegetation growing to keep a herd alive.

| Viracocha's Wood
Growing on the fertile soil at the foot of The Volcano, a patch of dense woodland springs up from the ground. The dense greenery is interrupted only by a small freshwater stream that cuts through the territory, bringing water to the herd that lives within.

| West Beach
The island’s western coastline is flat and sheltered, with wild grasses growing among the dunes. Rainwater gathers in pools around the shallow hills of sand, allowing animal life to flourish here in this veritable paradise.

| Half Moon Lagoon
A great crescent of shallow water was cut off from the ocean long centuries ago, to form this flat lake towards the south of the island. Plant life is abundant around it’s shores, although the area is prone to flooding.

| Volcano Spring
At the volcano’s northern foot a fountain of fresh water springs up from the rocks themselves, winding down towards lush, fertile ground further towards the coast. The ground here shakes and rumbles sometimes, and legend has it that the very rocks themselves sometimes move when the volcano is angry.
